"Darts are made from the wood of the chambira palm.  Poison for the darts is made from the curare vine, which is scraped and the shavings are put in a leaf rolled into a funnel.  The shavings are soaked with cold water that extracts the poison and then drains through the funnel.  After this, the poison is boiled down into a thick syrup.  Darts are dipped in the poison while chants are sung over them to increase the accuracy of the dart."
